Case Study: Olby Close, Holt

Olby Close is an exclusive development of 9 bungalows situated in Holt, North Norfolk and has recently been completed by renowned local developer AKB Residential.  The development comprises 9 bungalows, each with their own garden and driveway, and have been competed to a very high standard.

This is the second project GBW have worked with the developers on. We were pleased to arrange the 10 year structural warranties via ICW.  The development was completed in September 2020 and is now over 60% sold.

We look forward to working with AKB on their next project.

Granite are pleased to be involved with arranging the 10 year structural warranty, on behalf of a private client, for this unique development deigned by London based IF_DO Architects and constructed by HG Frost Construction Ltd.

This is fantastic of example modern architecture, pushing the boundaries of design, combining open plan contemporary living with seamless lines and glazed elevations flooding the house with natural light and wonderful views of the sea.  This is a ‘One Off’ and will set a precedent for the next generation of new homes built in this area of the sought after Heritage Coast.

Four New Contemporary Barn Styled Homes

Granite Building Warranties are delighted to have been involved in arranging the building warranties for Handpost Farm, Warfield, Berkshire.

A collection of four brand new contemporary barn style homes in a secure gated community, enjoying a rural location within the highly regarded Berkshire village of Warfield.  Each house is individually designed and meets all of the aspirations and requirements of 21st century living.  Modern-day luxuries blend with state-of-the-art technology to create family homes of quality and distinction, each enjoying a sense of light and space, enhanced by a clever use of windows and bi-folding doors that exploit the countryside view to the rear.  High quality materials and attention to detail feature throughout, including extensive herringbone oak flooring, double-sided contemporary fireplaces, bespoke modern ‘crittle’ doors and under-floor heating throughout.

This is a unique development of four very individual barn style houses developed by Alistair Walker of Blue Sky Properties Ltd and construction was undertaken by Serpentine Developments Ltd.  The houses will soon be launched by Strutt & Parker for sale.

Case Study: Mount House, Oxford

HIGH VALUE CONVERSION – 16 NORTHMOOR RD

 

Granite Building Warranties sourced a selection of warranty policies for MPM Partnership (Ox) Ltd who were undertaking a high value  conversion in the heart of Oxford.  MPM acquired this substantial Victorian building in the affluent Summertown area of Oxford and are converting the building into six high quality apartments.

As with all conversions and refurbishments, there are daily challenges and therefore it is vital the right warranty provider is selected from the start, who has experience of dealing with this type of development. International Construction Warranties (ICW) are working with MPM as the new home warranty provider and to date all is going well.  The project is due for practical completion in the summer of 2020 and we will provide an update and more photos in due course.

Granite sourced competitive rates from our panel of insurers, working with the developer to ensure suitable cover to meet their demands and needs was in force prior to the start of works.

Case Study: 140 High Street, Colchester

 

Very High quality permitted development scheme comprising of 35 units, ideal for first time buyers and investors, now completed and selling fast!

Granite worked with the client on this very high profile permitted development in the centre of Colchester.

Cases such as this development can prove difficult to place, due to the fact that this is a conversion of an existing building into 35 high specification apartments.

Granite were able to source three competitive quotations and secure suitable cover, ensuring the demands and needs of the client were met prior to the start of works.

Granite worked with regionally renown MD Developments sourcing four different options to provide the most suitable cover for this development.
